Leonardo Tamayo

Petroleum Engineer from the University of America (Colombia), Specialist in Mining and Energy Law with an emphasis on Mining and Oil Regulation from the Externado University of Colombia, and Master’s in Project Development and Integrated Management from the Colombian School of Engineering Julio Garavito. He has 13 years of experience in the hydrocarbons sector, working in both public and private entities.
He has worked at companies such as Pacific Rubiales Energy, supporting exploration and production asset groups; at the National Hydrocarbons Agency of Colombia as a field control and operations engineer in Zone 7 (Casanare); and for the past eight years at the Hydrocarbons Directorate of the Ministry of Mines and Energy, where he has served as Investment Project Leader, Upstream Group Leader, and Acting Director of the Directorate.
