Stéphanie Nour is a technical expert in energy efficiency (EE) and clean energy, with more than 25 years of international experience. Her career spans the development and operation of ESCOs, the implementation of ESCO-based projects, the design of EE policies—such as building codes and appliance efficiency standards—and the evaluation of EE and demand-side management (DSM) programs.
She has worked in over 75 countries on projects financed by multilateral organizations such as the Inter-American Development Bank, the World Bank, and the United Nations, as well as with bilateral development agencies including KfW, AFD, GAC, and GIZ. She has in-depth knowledge of the energy sector in Latin America and the Caribbean, and is fluent in French, English, Portuguese, and Spanish.
With more than 15 years of experience in green finance, she has supported banks and financial institutions in designing innovative financing mechanisms, working with entities such as Bancomext, BNDES, Banco Agrícola, and Banco BHD. She has also advised water and power utilities—including CELESC, CEMIG, EDP, Hydro-Québec, Petrobras, and UTE—on EE and DSM programs.
In parallel, she has led capacity-building initiatives in clean energy, including EVO’s CMVP program and RETScreen by Natural Resources Canada, consolidating her reputation as a leading trainer and project manager in large-scale international initiatives.
