Santiago Romero Oneto holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from the Universidad Argentina de la Empresa and specialized in natural gas at the University of Buenos Aires, complementing his training with an Executive MBA from the Universidad Torcuato Di Tella in Argentina.
He has over 25 years of experience in the Latin American energy sector. He has held executive positions at leading companies such as YPF, Enrgy Consulting Services, Engie Gas Chile, and Engie Stream, and currently serves as CEO of GasAndes and Chairman of the Board of Directors of AGN Chile. Since May 2025, he has joined the SOFOFA Board representing GasAndes.
His professional career includes the development and operation of energy companies in many Latin American countries, including Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Brazil, Peru, Panama, Uruguay, and Bolivia, encompassing natural gas transportation, LNG regasification and marketing, power generation, and strategic consulting services. He has led regional energy integration processes, international negotiations, and binational projects, establishing himself as a key figure in the evolution of the Latin American energy market.
