Rosa Riquelme is currently the Executive Director of the Chilean Energy Sustainability Agency (AgenciaSE). She holds a degree in Economics from the University of Chile, a diploma in Economics of Equality and Gender Equity from the same institution, and a certification in Public Management for Development from the Inter-American Development Bank.
Throughout her professional career, she has contributed to advancing the country’s energy sector through the design, implementation, and evaluation of public policies. She previously worked in the Energy Efficiency Division of the Ministry of Energy, the Technical Cooperation Service, and the Ministry of Education.
Before assuming her role as Executive Director at AgenciaSE, she led the Efficient Heating Line, where she spearheaded major initiatives such as diversifying the heating matrix, improving firewood production, and introducing new technologies, including District Energy.
She is also a member of the Women in Energy network of the World Energy Council, which brings together women from diverse sectors of the energy industry, with varied technical knowledge and expertise, to foster dialogue and propose innovative solutions to future challenges.
