Roberto Mendoza León is a prominent union leader with 35 years of experience representing workers across various economic sectors and in the energy industry. His leadership has been key in implementing labor reform in Mexico, being a pioneer in its enforcement and in modernizing union representation. Through his work, he has promoted fair labor conditions and the free exercise of the right to vote in the election of union leaders.
As a representative of FOSRM, which brings together 70 unions, he collaborates in the formation of an international federation with unions from Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Argentina, and Ecuador, aiming to strengthen regional cooperation. He has participated in International Labour Organization (ILO) meetings for 15 years and has delivered talks at academic institutions such as Tecnológico de Monterrey.
His vision focuses on prioritizing workers' rights within the political and economic agenda, promoting the continuous improvement of labor conditions and sustainability, especially in the energy sector. His proposal includes maintaining effective social dialogue on the future of work in this industry.
