Ricardo Gorini is an economist with an MBA in Finance, as well as a master’s and PhD in Energy. He joined IRENA in 2018 as Head of REmap, responsible for the Renewable Energy Roadmaps program. He is co-author of IRENA’s series of roadmaps and Energy Transition Outlooks, including the most recent World Energy Transitions Outlook 2050.
Previously, he worked in the financial markets and the mining sector, and served as a consultant in energy policy and regulation in Brazil, acting as Director of the Energy Research Office (EPE), the institution responsible for Brazil’s energy planning studies.
