Pablo Ferragut is an economist with more than 15 years of experience in energy, climate change, sustainability, and energy transition in Latin America and the Caribbean.
He currently serves as Managing Director of ARPEL, where he leads the areas of natural gas and corporate sustainability. Throughout his career, he has led projects and teams focused on improving the performance of oil and gas companies in various areas. Among the most notable projects is the creation of the regional dialogue platform Natural Gas Stakeholders’ Dialogue together with the International Gas Union (IGU) and the Latin American Energy Organization (OLADE), as well as the publication of the White Paper “The Role of Natural Gas in the Transition Toward Low-Carbon Economies – The Case of Latin America and the Caribbean”, which synthesizes a strategic sectoral perspective on the role of natural gas in the energy transition and has been a relevant contribution to the international energy dialogue.
In addition, he teaches courses on economics, energy, and climate finance at the Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires (ITBA) and has carried out various works and publications on energy and climate policy for different organizations.
