A petrochemical engineer from the National University of Engineering, he holds an MBA from ESAN and completed the General Management Program at UDEP. He has conducted research on nanotechnology applied to natural gas at Texas A&M University and pursued specialized studies in the energy sector.
He has more than 25 years of experience in both the public and private sectors, beginning his career at PETROPERU and later holding various management positions at Repsol, Maple Gas, and Aguaytia Energy. In the public sector, he has served as Operations Manager and Hydrocarbons Supervision Manager at Osinergmin, Contracts Supervision Manager at Perupetro, Director General of Hydrocarbons, and Advisor to both the Ministerial and Vice-Ministerial Offices of Hydrocarbons at the Ministry of Energy and Mines (MINEM).
