Electrical Engineer, University of San Carlos of Guatemala (USAC)
He served as President and later Director of the National Electric Energy Commission (CNEE). In addition, he held the position of Vice Minister in charge of the Energy Area and Head of the Transmission and Distribution Department at the National Institute of Electrification (INDE).

His career includes experience as a professor at the USAC Faculty of Engineering and as Guatemala’s ad honorem representative to the Steering Group of the Regional Electricity Market. He also served as President of the College of Engineers of Guatemala and as a representative to the University Superior Council for the professional associations of Engineers of Guatemala and Chemical Engineers of Guatemala.
