Michelle Abreu Vargas is a lawyer with over 20 years of experience specializing in Corporate and Regulatory Law, with a focus on climate finance, ESG, sustainable finance, M&A, and project finance. She has been recognized by LACCA and The Legal 500 Latin America for her outstanding work in energy and natural resources.
She has advised local and international clients on energy, infrastructure, and sustainability projects, and leads key initiatives such as the Green Taxonomy and climate finance efforts with the MARENA Fund and the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI). She is also Vice President of ASOFER and founder of the Women in Renewable Energy association (MERRD).
Michelle holds a Law degree from PUCMM, an MBA from Barna Business School, and postgraduate studies in France. She is certified as an ESG sustainability expert and has contributed to international legal publications.
