Marina Gil Sevilla, energy specialist in the Energy Unit of ECLAC's Natural Resources Division, holds a PhD in Natural Resources Economics and has more than 15 years of experience, especially in Latin America and the Caribbean, on topics related to natural resource economics, energy, and climate change. She initially worked on research projects related to public policy development and has taught in natural resource economics and experimental economics at various universities. Since 2013, she has supported more than 10 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean with technical assistance and capacity building for the design of public policies based on climate change. She has participated in the formulation and implementation of several projects and in the publication of several ECLAC documents. Since 2019, she has been a staff member of the Natural Resources Division, where she has worked on energy.
