Industrial Civil Engineer from the Federico Santa María Technical University. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Physics and has 25 years of experience at the National Energy Commission (CNE), where he has served as Acting Executive Secretary since March 2022. Previously, he held the position of Head of the Hydrocarbons Department at the regulatory agency since 2017.
He is a member of the academic committee of the Master’s program in Energy Economics at the Federico Santa María Technical University, where he teaches courses on energy economics, energy sector regulation, and electricity sector regulation. He has also supervised more than 60 postgraduate theses on the energy sector and its regulation.
