Juan José holds a degree in journalism, a Master's and PhD in communications from the Autonomous University of Barcelona as well as a diploma in sustainability from the University of Oxford.
He has extensive experience in the design and implementation of communications, engagement and sustainability strategies, managing the relationship of organizations with their environment. He has held various senior positions in the public and private sector, serving as an official for the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations in Latin America and the Caribbean, Head of Communications and Public Affairs at Codelco and Head of Corporate Affairs for BHP South America. In 2019, he joined LATAM as Director of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability, reporting directly to the CEO, where he is responsible for the corporate public affairs, communications and sustainability strategy.
