Florencia Balestro holds a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Buenos Aires, with specializations in renewable energy and project financing in Argentina and Spain. She is currently an Energy Specialist at the World Bank and serves as the gender focal point within the Energy Unit for Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC).
Previously, she was Country Director for Argentina at a Spanish solar energy company and earlier developed wind energy projects. She has also worked as a consultant for various multilateral organizations and has over ten years of experience in the public sector.
