Claudia Valdés, a Chilean national, is Principal Officer of Infrastructure at IDB Invest, the private sector arm of the IDB Group. She is based in the Chile office and covers four sectors: Energy, Transport, Water and Sanitation, and Social Infrastructure for the Southern Cone countries—Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, and Brazil. She has over 20 years of experience in infrastructure financing in Chile and Latin America, including work in commercial banks and, for the past eight years, in development banking at IDB Invest. Claudia holds a degree in Business and Economics from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile.
