Arturo Loayza Ordóñez is a specialist in renewable energy and sustainability, with a solid track record in energy planning, natural resource management, and environmental policy. He has worked as a consultant in innovation, international cooperation, and stakeholder engagement on issues related to energy transition and climate change.
Among his main achievements is the design of instruments for the allocation of over 50 million euros in international research and development programs funded by agencies such as USAID and GIZ.
He is currently the Coordinator of the Energy Transition Support Program (ProTransición) of GIZ in Bolivia, where he leads efforts aimed at creating financial, technical, and organizational conditions to promote renewable energy, energy efficiency, and sustainable mobility in the country.
He holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of the Republic (Uruguay) and a Master's degree in Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency from Rey Juan Carlos University (Spain)
