Alexis X. Rodríguez Almanza began his career as a seafarer and holds studies in Maritime Law, Port and Environmental Management, Carbon Neutrality, and Project Management. He earned an MBA from INCAE, a postgraduate degree in Maritime Energy Efficiency from the World Maritime University, and executive training in Sustainability from MIT. He has delivered lectures on maritime and climate-related topics and has worked at institutions such as the Panama Maritime Authority, the Environmental Authority, and the Panama Canal Authority. In the private sector, he led the sustainability area at Novo Nordisk for Central America and the Caribbean. He currently serves as Regional Director for Energy Transition Implementation in Latin America and the Caribbean at A.P. Moller–Maersk.
