Alessandra Amaral is the Executive President of the Latin American Association of Electric Power Distributors (ADELAT). She holds a degree in Economics from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, a Master’s in Industrial Engineering with a focus on Finance from PUC/RJ, an MBA in Business Management from Fundação Dom Cabral, and an MBA in Marketing from COPPEAD/UFRJ.
A native of Rio de Janeiro, she has more than 30 years of experience as an executive in major corporations such as Light and Grupo Energisa. As a consultant at GESEL (Grupo de Estudos do Setor Elétrico) – UFRJ, she focused on consulting and research projects in the areas of Regulation, Concession Renewal, Storage Systems, and Green Hydrogen.
Throughout her career, she has served as a board member of ONS (Operador Nacional do Sistema), Norte Energia, ABRADEE (Brazilian Association of Electricity Distributors), APINE (Association of Independent Power Producers), ABRACEEL (Brazilian Association of Energy Traders), and has also been a member of the Energy Council of ACRJ (Commercial Association of Rio de Janeiro) and the Electric Power Council of FIRJAN (Federation of Industries of Rio de Janeiro).
