Energy Under Control: Storage Solutions for System Flexibility

Session information

The advancement of renewable energy in Latin America and the Caribbean has highlighted the need for more flexible, resilient, and balanced energy systems. In this context, energy storage is positioned as a key element for integrating variable generation, stabilizing electricity grids, and ensuring energy access in remote areas. Technologies such as lithium batteries, thermal storage, pumped hydropower, and even green hydrogen offer concrete solutions to address these challenges.
This session will analyze the role of storage as an enabler of the energy transition in the region, promoting a strategic dialogue on its planning, scalability, and contribution to a cleaner, safer, and more accessible energy matrix.
