Regional electricity interconnection is a key tool for strengthening energy security, optimizing the use of available resources, and advancing toward more resilient, efficient, and sustainable electricity systems in Latin America and the Caribbean.
This open event, organized with the participation of the European Commission and OLACDE, will present the progress of the Regional Electricity Interconnection Plan that both institutions have been jointly developing. The session will provide an opportunity to share the main results achieved, analyze opportunities for cooperation and integration among the countries of the region, and reflect on the next steps needed to consolidate a regional electricity interconnection agenda.
