Aurora Williams Baussa

She holds a PhD in Atmospheric Sciences from the University of Oxford, United Kingdom. She served as an Associate Professor in the Department of Geophysics at the University of Chile and as Director of the Center for Climate and Resilience Science (CR)2. Her research interests include paleoclimate and regional climate change, and she also worked on impact assessments in various sectors, such as agriculture and water resources, using numerical climate models as analytical tools.

Maisa Rojas was coordinator of the Scientific Committee for COP25 of the Ministry of Science, Technology, Knowledge, and Innovation; a member of the Presidential Advisory Council for COP25; and a participant in the Chilean delegation to COP26. She also coordinated the Scientific Advisory Committee on Climate Change and is the lead author of the Fifth Assessment Report (AR5) of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). She also served as the coordinating author of the IPCC report (AR6).
