How prepared are Latin American and Caribbean countries to move toward sustainable, equitable, and secure energy systems, in line with their decarbonization and development commitments? To address this question, OLADE and the World Economic Forum have developed a Latin American and Caribbean Energy Transition Readiness Assessment (LAC ETRA), which seeks to offer a comprehensive view of the capabilities and readiness of the region's countries to carry out energy transitions that generate value for society and contribute to achieving net-zero emissions goals. This meeting will serve as a space to present the report's key findings and generate a strategic dialogue among relevant stakeholders, reflecting on how to strengthen the enabling conditions for a just energy transition in the region, as well as on the links between regional agendas and global dynamics regarding sustainability, resilience, and energy inclusion.
