Session

Regional H2V Initiatives and Studies

Topic: Decarbonization
Session information

The expectation over the development of low-emission hydrogen in the region continues to keep the sector in suspense given its projections on the path to global decarbonization and its potential strategic role in the energy transition and in the construction of low-carbon economies. Various countries in the region, together with multilateral organizations, are promoting numerous initiatives and studies that address everything from the technical and economic potential of hydrogen, to employment and infrastructure gaps, to certification standards, and the regulatory, logistical, and financing pathways necessary for its deployment. This space seeks to give visibility to these efforts, enabling the exchange of learning and experiences that are shaping the emerging green hydrogen ecosystem in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Through the presentation of results, findings, and next steps from these studies and initiatives, we aim to enrich collective understanding and foster potential synergies between actors. How are we managing to articulate a regional vision that allows H2V to position itself as a competitive and sustainable solution on a global scale?
